I hope you'll find one of my unique un-fussy, comfortable and cozy homes your perfect base to see all the sites Northern California and the Central Valley have to offer, or possibly a relaxing place to stay while you take a class or workshop.

All houses are on at least 1/2 acre, private but close to eachother. Most on a gravel, dead end and very quiet road, close to everything, but it feels like you're in the country

Bike trails and rentals are nearby as is the American River where you can rent rafts, swim or fish. We are approx. 2 miles from the Ancil Hoffman Park nature center and golf course.

Located less than ten miles NE of Sacramento we're 1-2 hours or less to Napa Wine Country, San Francisco Bay Area, Historic Gold Country and The Foothills, Historic Jackson and the Delta, Sutter Creek, Locke and other Northern California sites. Or we're a little farther, but still close to Monterey, Mendocino, Fort Bragg or Stinson Beach and even Clearlake and Lake Tahoe in the Sierra are nearby day-trips. You can take in a show or try your luck in the casinos at Thunder Valley, Reno or South Shore Lake Tahoe.

We may not be fussy, frilly or ruffled but we are comfortable, providing everything to make you feel at home including high thread count linens and plush towels plus all the kitchen utensils needed to enjoy the fresh produce abundant in our area.

There are many farmers markets close by and loads of local fresh vegetables in abundance.

Our cottages range from approx. 800 sq. ft to 1800 sq. ft with air conditioning and heating included so you'll be comfortable all year. We have a pool in season for two of our homes and we're about an hour from great skiing, and of course, free wifi.

All homes are filled with amazing and beautiful, original artwork painted by my late husband, Earl Boley and/or photos by me, a retired corporate photographer and educator who taught photography at CSU, Sacramento for 17 years.

Whether you're in Sacramento for work or pleasure (or both) I look forward to meeting you and thank you for visiting this site.
